This hotel doesn't pretend to be something it is not. The rates are low and consistent with an older property. However, it is clear that management tries to keep up on maintenance. It may not be perfect, but for an older hotel, they must need to prioritize their expenditures. Our room was clean and had the normal amenities. The bed was very comfortable (although bedspread was worn). The staff was very nice and knowledgeable. The breakfast was basic but had yogurt, waffles, toast, cereal, juice, etc. and free. Best of all they are pet-friendly. And I mean friendly! We felt very welcome with our 2 small dogs. We also found the other guests to be friendly as well. It is conveniently located and we were more than pleased with our stay.
I can't understand why all bad reviews for this hotel. I had no problems in my three night-stay here. The room was clean, linens were clean, no sign of bugs, no nothing. The water was hot and the breakfast was plentiful. The only smoke I smelled was some fool's cigarette this morning. Two cars were tagged overnight for parking in the restricted handicap parking spot. More fools. No matter how much you pay for a room, hotels always seem to attract some lowlifes.
